Re: Sd.Kfz. 250 Vol.1 Ledwoch 173
This issue dwells little on the base vehicle and gives a fairly decent overview of each variant accompanied by images reproduced from manuals along with some period photos. Although many of these images can be found elsewhere, it is nice to see them presented clearly in one volume.
It contains very little on the Ausf. B and really provides no differentiation between the O, Z and E series Ausf. A. These just appear in various guises throughout, without any particular notation identifying them as such.
Also included at the back are the usual 10 odd pages of colour plates of camouflage markings etc, with line drawings of most variants scattered throughout.
Particularly if you're looking to build a reference base for the 250 series halftracks, I think these are a great place to start. Possibly not on their own, but in addition to some of the other texts of a similar format (and price) you'd have a good coverage of what's generally available on a vehicle that suffers from poor coverage anyway.
