New Tamiya Release in 1/48 Scale
.. As information, Tamiya has just released the 250/3 in 1/48 scale. It is a little gem for those of you who may be builders in this scale.

Kruse 250 B
I think it's worth noting that the greater majority of, if not all, of this vehicle appear to be the post war Skoda variant.
Be interested to know if anyone knows if the engine, transmission etc were the same as those used in the original vehicle.
Although structurally it appears to be essentially the same vehicle, there's a couple of differences I've noticed on the Kruse example.
The hull has extensions running down either side of it's belly

There's some subtle differences in the construction of the leaf spring supports and the wartime leaf springs appear to have been squared off in the ends on all but a few at the top

What I'm assuming is some kind of damper for the suspension behind the two lower front chassis plates, is of a very different type to what I've seen on all other 250s

Despite being welded to the hull, the whole idler tensioner housing is very different and somewhat simplified. Not ignoring the large bracket running up the side of the hull above the housing and the fact that the tracks appear to be on backwards

That's a start anyway, or what comes to mind.
Just think these things are worth keeping in mind when using this vehicle for reference.
Interested in your thoughts.
Cheers
Allan

Re: Sd.Kfz. 250/5 Neu Victory Museum
hmmm, you sure have a keen eye and gave us something to think about here, Alan.
I certainly will check my, limited, references on the 250.
Thanks for the info on this one and a big welcome to you, by the way!

Re: Sd.Kfz. 250/5 Neu Victory Museum
Thanks for the welcome.
Not sure if it's really an eye for detail, just been trying to ascertain alot of details as I'm scratchbuilding a late model 250/9 Ausf B and when you scour enough images, you're bound to notice irregularities. There are certainly many more on the Kruse vehicle but I didn't see the point in going into every single one I'd noticed.
I should've posted some comparison photos, and if anyone actually wants to discuss it I'm happy to.
Reference on the 1 ton and 250 series is dismally limited but hopefully this will change sooner rather than later.
Cheers
